In 2023, the fellas of Kublai Kai successfully conquered the original Rickshaw Run racing the entire length of India from the tropics of Kochi, Kerala to Gangtok, Sikkim in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains. So… In August of 2025, Kublai Kai chose to race an auto-rickshaw over the Himalayan Mountains as part of the Rickshaw Run Himalaya (yes, it’s a real thing).

These brave fools met 49 other teams in the mountain town of Leh, Ledakh in northwest India atop the Himalayan Mountains to start their journey and end in the Golden City of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.

All in all, it was over 2,800 kilometers of challenging environs with altitudes of over 17,000 feet in a vehicle no sane person would attempt this with. But don’t worry, the chaps were up for it. After all, they’re veterans at this point.
